Order Property of Addition (Add in Any Order)
The "Order Property of Addition" is just a fancy term which means you can add numbers in an addition problem in any order you would like.  This is not true for subtraction or division as changing the order changes the answer. This is helpful to know since t is easier to add smaller numbers first when getting the answer to a multi-digit addition problem.

There is a red addition fact at the beginning of the each row on the screen. Next to the red addition fact are 4 blue addition facts.  Which blue addition fact has the same answer as the red addition fact?
After your student answers the problems below ask  -  "Why are the answers the same?"
They should tell you immediately that they are the same because only the order of the numbers is different.  If there is hesitation in saying this, click the "Worksheet" link for additional practice.
