Time: A.M. and P.M.

Distinguishing A.M. and P.M. is a difficult concept for some students. What do A.M. and P.M. mean anyway? Well, A.M. is an abbreviation for "ante meridiem" (which is Latin for "before mid day") and P.M. is the abbreviation for "post meridiem" (which is Latin for "after mid day" - The best trick we like to use greatly clarifies this: Just teach that that A.M. means "After Midnight" and P.M. means "Peefore Midnight"- well, it's not perfect but it works great!
